If you’ve tried a spot locally I need to know. I’m a lover of all food so I thought I’d share a spot that is an all time favorite for me. Have you ever tried the Columbus Flea Market in Columbus New Jersey? It’s easy to get to, just jump on the Jersey Turnpike and go to Exit 7 get off on Rt 206 South. You want some of the best BBQ brisket you will ever eat in your life? Fresh made apple sausage wrapped in a warm pretzel that makes Auntie Anne’s look like child’s play? I have no words other than mouth watering. The Amish section has both and so much more. Fresh barrel pickles and all sorts of flavored pickle chips (Sweet horseradish, hot, hot and sweet, sweet, garlic, dill). If you love spicy you have to try their hot pickle chips. Maybe you are more of a chocolate lover, no doubt they make the best smores fudge I have ever eaten or you want some peach bread made from their local harvest. The Amish don’t mess around. The flea market is average compared to the many others we have in the state, but the food… I literally just drive there to put some weight on. Go hungry, bring a cooler, I promise you will come home with food. The Amish aren’t the only ones with something delicious, the building is full of spots to eat. Trust and believe me when I say get there early because the later you are the longer the lines. Don’t forget, the Amish market is closed on Sundays. Check the link for directions, shops, and vendors! I hope you enjoy!
